Apocalyptic terror in the night
another coming of the worst that was,
wealth wears the cold robes of its vanity,
aspires to rule only on its behalf

wealth corrupts, wealth taken for absolute
corrupts absolutely, it holds the deed
to the wealthy and owns their deeds, mercy
is banished as an invasive alien
