Snag

It is or seems to be weathered to wise
the twenty foot high snag of a lost oak
that stands dour through all of the seasons
a bit more reclusive in time of green,

exposed in winter when the leaves have left,
dapper sometimes in the white garb of snow
that is tailored just for the occasion,
melts away with the warming touch of sun
