Lightning

The lightning of delight seems 
flash of another order as does, too,
the lightning of insight, but  then rolls in
thunder of doubt, dismay and difficulty

I long to extend almost ecstasy
of delight and insight, but can’t stay out
of myself, the parole is very brief
but memorable, unforgettable

delight and insight burn their jagged paths
down the trunk …
