I keep on singing what I never could, I sing of what I never understood Thawing words and music from trance of ice That is at last prehistoric no more Like some rime frozen not to know itself It was always there, piezo receptors Signaled it up along the vague nerve As it baffled my center’s analysts As missing sense neurobiology Frets its way along paths seeming mystic Until they can begin to separate And surge into singing that selves myself I apologize for obscurity As my amazement makes a map of me
