Hope can be dark, secretive and stealthy,
Cunning enough to avoid detection ,
Sustaining outside any awareness,
Disavowed conspirator in the night,

Wily antagonist of comfort’s ease ,
Obstinate past bound of imagining,
Captain of impossible voyages,
Seeker beyond the commerce of profit

Architect of alloyed heaven and hell,
Worm that cuts the stone of contradiction,
Stowaway in silence, dreamer of words,
Exiled wanderer of the ways of loss

Despair is oasis of hope’s intent
Where the caravan stops to drink disguise
