Grandiose Sorrow
Grandiose sorrow is haunting my heart As if this dark world that is built of light Were mine to change or ever had been such, Wreckage of hopes unwarranted I am Mine to undergo not to overcome Long has my melancholy understood As it played drowned melodies deep in me Ravishing in grief’s sad consolation Is there harmony in devastation A metamorphic hope within lost hope, Song itself relieved of need for power, Tremble that’s gold at the edge of abyss? Blind moon yet reflective be my witness As this art comes to know itself witless
