Endless Profusion
Endless profusion of waves on the sea That make patterns and then break same patterns Spray on underside of albatross wings Spray that refracts the soft pale of moonlight Filled with wonder and worry I lie sleepless In these sheets of my comfort’s discomfort Mind’s might could as well be team of huskies Sledding me under great green northern lights I don’t know where I’m going even why Songs of joy and sorrow play in my head Land and water planet’s shapeless shaping I am of loose ends and slight beginnings In the sea of night I go seeing things Wave green hello and goodbye, land in bed
